While in north van lynn valley , I saw a car veer off the road, break through railings in front of a house - and disappear. I said to my friends (we were on lunch break from college) - “Look! That car just crashed.”
“What car?” (The road was empty.)
“Come on, I’ll show you.” We crossed the street and looked into the “area” - a space below ground (grade) at basement level, common in older houses. (There is usually access to the basement by stairs from the roadway but sometimes, as in this case, the space was about 20′ long, 8′ wide and about 10′ deep.)
The metal railings were bent and broken where the car passed through. We could see the driver’s hands and, as he leaned forward to look up, his face, confused but uninjured. The car sat in the space as neatly as a shoe in a shoe-box.
We called 999 and emergency services popped the windshield and safely extricated the driver. I assume a crane removed the car later.
How long before someone would have noticed the broken railings and seen the car? The house was either unoccupied or the owner heard nothing. The driver might have been there for hours - or days.
We don't have 999 in Canada... Here you call 911 and 2 days later a pissed off RCMP shows up writes you a ticket for window tint or mudflaps instead of doing the job they were called for. They then leave by driving over your lawn and don't even give you a kiss.
This lady is just crazy!! cut me off and stopped in the middle of the road. She walked up to my window and started yelling "go back to where you came from". Incredibly rude and she deserves to never drive again!!! She had a bottle of henney in her hand too no kizzy
This woman was clearly drunk as she drove through my neighborhood at 7 in the morning, i was outside playing hockey with my son when she drove up my driveway hitting my child and reversing over him, this is not the worst tho, my child was stuck on the front bumper as she drove off and crashed into a tree. she then got out of her car with nothing old grey crocs and holding a 12 pack of colt 45s she ran off into the forrest never to be seen again.
this lady should have her liscence taken sway she killed my dog
