I was in the car at the time and we were looking for street parking. We found a spot that was blocked by a garbage truck operating at Sheppard/Yonge. We patiently signaled and waited for the parking spot, once the garbage truck finished picking up the recycling bin. As the garbage truck finished up, we noticed that a White Nissan, quickly and dangerously pulled in front of us and then started to aggressively reverse into the parking spot we were waiting for. We honked him, but he still continued to aggressively pull back into the parking spot and nearly hit our car if we had not reversed. We explained to him that his driving was extremely dangerous and that he would have hit our car. He then switched the blame and said he was waiting there first. This was not true and we have a dashcam to prove his aggressive driving as well. I plea to the police to investigate this or at least issue a warning to ensure that safety on the road is the top priority. We see too many acts of dangerous driving in this city and I decided to report this because I want a future where the roads are safe, and no one is put in harm's way because of careless and aggressive individuals like the male (probably in their 40s) driving the CBNX248 car. This is totally irresponsible and I even wonder how he got his driver's license.
Yonge - Sheppard? Diversity at Its Finest !
Welcome to the new normal in Toronto. It's me me me era. Do not count on police, they will do nothing. Get yourself a Ford F150 or Dodge Ram 1500 and no one will ever dare to take your parking spot.
